ABOUT ME
I'm a teacher, a traveler, a mom and a wife. I'm a wanderer and wonderer. This year, I'm also a Fellow with Teachers for Global Classrooms through the US Department of State.
I invite you to join me as I travel to new lands with an open heart and a practical eye. I'm always looking for things I can bring back to my 7th grade classroom and ways I can help my students connect to their ever-expanding world. My passport is ready--is yours?

When I was 15, I traveled to Aviles, Spain for a month-long homestay. The next year, I was an American Field Service (AFS) exchange student to Steinakirchen, Austria. College and graduate school brought courses in Oaxaca, Guadalajara, and Mexico City, Mexico. I still travel for learning, and advanture.
As a teacher, I get to travel vicariously through my students, who come from all over the world. As a TGC Fellow, I now get to experience another corner of the world as I travel to India in the summer of 2015.
