Facebook - At Tippu Sultan's Palace

It's only been a few days, but Bangalore has really captured my heart. I'll let the photos do the talking:

Above--a visit to a former palace (the red dot is from an earlier visit to the Bull Temple and the strand of flowers are from a street vendor (jasmine--lovely!). Below: the flower vendor set up on the sidewalk

Above: choosing a saree from the many colorful options at a local shop. Step 2 (below) is to go to another shop to purchase a petticoat to wear underneath. Mine is the lovely teal and gold one you see on the table. Step 3 (below that) is to go to a tailor who measures you for a perfect fit for the top that goes with your saree. This tailor's shop was down a narrow alleyway. Indira has graciously offered to deliver them to us in Delhi next week when they are finished.
