Pictures and quick descriptions seem to do a better job than paragraphs, so here are more photos of our adventures in India! That's me--eating a spiced fresh mango slice on top of the mountains. Mango, lime, and chili powder? Yes, please!

Also: a safari jeep that goes into the Bandipur National Forest to spot tigers, elephants, water buffalo and deer. We didn't need that, though, since we had wondeful hosts and drivers in Riyas and Yasil! We were able to spot several groups of deer ("Spot?" Get it? Because the deer are spotted!?!?" I crack myself up!), a family of elephants ate and played near the roadway, and a large water buffalo stared us down. So much to see here as we traveled up the mountains and into the forest. We also stopped at a tea plantation and watched the laborers pick the tender leaves that we later enjoy as tea. You'll also see a photo of Sandra and the giant dhosa we enjoyed at a roadside restaurant (yes, it really was that big and was hanging off the plate--needless to say, we shared it!).

Until next time, travel safe!
